For most photographers , a Safari on the plains of Africa is a bucket list item. I know it was for me, when I first traveled there. Five years later, I'm still going back. This time, I'm putting together a trip for those people who have looked at a Safari and thought, "how am I going to afford that?" This was my first thought when I planned my first trip to Kenya 5 years ago. It is certainly expensive, however, I've made contacts and friends in the country (not a hard thing to do with such nice people) and have teamed up with many to create an affordable photographic safari. We returned from another trip to Kenya in June 2017 and we immediately began the planning process for this photo safari. Currently, if you search for a photographic safari you will find the common prices are a minimum of $10K per person. When I see this, not only is it sticker shock, but I also wonder, "how is the regular photographer" able to do this? That question made me want to create a tour that's affordable for most photographers out there.
It is designed to spend time immersed in Kenya. So I invite you to read through the details and itinerary below. And maybe I will see you in Kenya among the Big 5!

With good photographic locations planned I've carefully selected locations to make the most of it. Going so far as to intentionally plan a stay at a luxury tent camp with a clear view of Mt. Kilamanjaro during the week after New Moon so that those of you with night photography ambitions can get that African Milky Way shot with the iconic mountain as foreground.
